as I grew up, and learned of the threats facing our planet— and those who depend upon it cough humans cough — that molded into a desire to not only want to work with nature, but to diligently fight to protect and conserve the world around us.

but what good is helping a broken planet when we too are suffering?

in my fight to build a “professional” career I’ve grown restless — from seeing the grasp of environmental and social injustices affect communities at disproportionate rates, to struggling to find a sustainable job in the field of sustainability.

it’s been hard not to give up — and I’m learning the only way to keep the fire rolling is to create and heal through art and expression, and to work to build and become part of a larger community.
